Let’s admit it, Filtering Life isn’t what she used to be.
My heart has swayed another direction, comments have dwindled, exploitations of my children have halted all together, even my normal stalkers have cut back. It’s time we face the facts that it may be time for Filtering Life to be put down. Like a faithful dog of many years, seasons have changed. I am not saying 100% I am done I just think we may redirect this site to Kellan so that instead of me forcing your hand to click all the millions of links to Kellan…you just go their directly. If you are not into our photography…no offense taken (well maybe a little) but I understand friendships have seasons too….so maybe we hand back our BFF necklaces and viles of blood and move on with our lives.
I will do what I always do and let you know what is going on over there. in the hopes that you join the party at my other dot com.
We are giving a sneak peek of our new website…so ridiculously excited about this.
AND
If you have never had the pleasure of hearing my nasally voice or horse laugh…well here is your chance. Our intro video is completed. This will be on our About page on the new site, but we are going to let you guys see it a little early.
See, you really do miss out without making that extra click. All the cool kids are doing it!! Smell you later.

thank goodness i’m drinking tonight - i’ll be mourning the loss of this site. at least i like your photography so I’ll try not to cause myself too much of a hangover
i’m amazed you’ve done it this long! i stopped blogging a long time ago. i just couldn’t hack it anymore. the love was lost. good for you. i’ll be checking out your pictures!
xoxo!
ps: your voice is NOT nasally!
I’ll just have to stalk you on twitter, then.
So sad, you were the first blog I ever read..Back in the day from the November 06 Gingersnaps.(HI!)…I have been a faithful reader ever since, and have no plans to miss even a minute of what you give out girl! I have been blogline’in kellan studios for almost a year so I never miss a post! See you there!
I’m another ‘06 Gingersnap mama…so sorry you’re stopping your blog, but I totally understand. I look forward to following you on your Kellan site.
I have always loved reading your blog Kelly. I am sad that you are moving just to the Kellan blog because we won’t hear so much about the kids, and about the unique relationship you have with Ryan! But I am so glad that the photography business is going ahead in leaps and bounds, and I will just have to keep up with you and the Portnoys’ activities on Facebook instead! Thanks for the great reading all this time anyway!
Blessing on your business, Kelly!!
I’m shocked. Angry even. Who do you think you are to deprive us of the details of your life? You owe us Kelly. You owe ME!
Seriously though, I know what you mean. My blog is dead as the fruit flies in my creamer. I will faithfully follow you wherever you go. To Kellan it is!
i refuse to believe this is all dead and gone. i expect you to come back and discuss all things swishy (babies) and your love for life (husband).
Randomly found your blog via google while looking at tattoo ideas and was immediately captured. A few random clicks and I read your fantastic story about your shower escapade when the bar came down… 10 minutes later and I am still laughing. And like your 100 things…I also always have such a wealth of great stories and love to write about them, but when telling them in person, they always just seem to fall flat.
Anyways, I see that you’re ending your blog; I guess I found you too late, but at any rate, thanks for adding a breath of fresh air to my day.
Many blessings from the UK!
{{sniff sniff}} I come back to THIS???
Ok so maybe I totally get it but I just have issues letting go. I just can’t do it.
At least I know I can stalk you on facebook. I’ll totally miss your wit, charm & hawtness here tho’!
I just found your blog by accident. I wish you were still writing here. I have read so much tonight and wish I could come back tomorrow to read something new. I am Christian Mom from TX now living in New Zealand. Your photos are amazing. Wishing even more–I was in Virginia for a family photo shoot.
Maybe someday you will feel like blogging here again. One can hope!!
