Sorry Charlie, I am enjoying a blog free, computer free week adjusting to life with my two sweeties. The birth story post is still a work in progress. We have actually not taken one picture since last Monday…gasp…I know! We are just chillaxing and maxing.
All I can say is I am still madly in love with my son and I can’t imagine life without him. And big fat raspberries to all you people who said lightening can’t strike twice. I dare say that Bennett is even more easy going than Chloe. He never cries, sleeps 4-6 hours a night and is not tearing me up during feedings. Pure sugar this little boy, pure sugar. I am overwhelmed at how wonderful my recovery has been this time. Dr. Baker is the man in my book. He took care of all of Kelly’s bits and pieces and I could not be more thankful.
I do want expose the glamorous side of recovery. All you mom’s out there can shake your head and laugh at the ridiculously sexy things you get to wear and bring home from the hospital. FREE!
Check out my goodie bag.
Oh no, oh yes! I had to put the video in for some perspective. That, my friend, from left to right is the King of all Maxi Pads, a pop-n-lock heat pad for the ole “roids” and stitches, and my favorite…mesh undies! Nothing says slim and trim post baby body like a pair of boy-cut mesh undies. I mean they are universal to all body shapes. NOT SO MUCH!!!! They make my already stumpy chunky legs look another 4 inches shorter.
So just when you think you are out of the woods….nope!
Okay kiddies, I will try to get on the stick this week and give you the juicy details.

I’m so happy to hear you are enjoying time with your son. That’s as it should be!
Thos mesh panties sound hawt.
Oh….the good old big pads!!!
My take home booty also had the massive ice packs…good times…You gotta love when you waddle down the hall with a monster pad and some ice packs in your booty. Nothing says “baby got back” when you have ice packs stuffed in your booty.
So GLAD Bennett is a doll baby. Consider yourself BLESSED!!! Abel woke up after 2 weeks and was never the same. However, when he reached 10 months he become a great napper. PRAISE JESUS!!!
I have about 5 pairs of those mesh “shorts” as well call them - in my drawer at home. They aren’t for me though. David was given those to wear after his surgeries - that poor man, if I EVER do have a child, he will understand a lot of the post-pain because of what he had as well - a LOT of the same stuff. (he was also given those pads, too…man.)
never thought I’d be able to say to someone who recently gave birth “Hey! My husband totally understands!”

I never had those heating pads, in the hospital they made some sort of ice bag that worked wonders for the swelling, of course, held in place with the mesh undies.
When people visited you in the hospital, did you ever think while sitting in bed, if you only knew what I was sitting on right now?!
Glad to hear Lil’ B is making the transition an easy one for ya, so far atleast!
At the Birthing Center the Midwives fill baby diapers with water and freeze to put down there, such wonderful relief!! Who would a thought!
i love nettie panties! They are a sore stitched vjayjays best friend
So glad to hear you are enjoying your expanded family!
The mesh panties and huge pads TOTALLY take me back…
Ha ha! Leave it to you to think of a funny way to share the aftermath of childbirth. I totally love the DVD for perspective! Those things give a whole new meaning to the word “maxi”, don’t they? I mean, how can anything sold in the stores have the nerve to call itself “super” when those things are out there? And the mesh undies…ah, good times.
So glad you’re doing well!
Just enjoy, girl! We’ll be here whenever you get around to it!
Enjoy your time with your Fam. I remember those undies and pads and the walking waddle that comes with it all!
Lucky lady to have yourself a solid sleeper. Crossing fingers in hopes that it will last awhile.
I’m so glad all of you are doing well and I have to throw in on the mesh panties. Too funny and yeah, I don’t miss them!
Enjoy your beautiful family.
i loved those net panties - and they are machine washable you know LOL I was sore forever and they worked like a champ!
I can’t believe how huge that pad is. I wasn’t sure what the elmo thing was but I definitely didnt think it was a DVD. Enjoy your break of blogging-but I can’t wait to see pictures of Chloe and her little brother.
Over here we call that the “landing pad”. Don’t you feel sexy in those mesh panties? Woot!
WAIT, That Sesame Street thing is a DVD?!?!?! I thought it was a pack of cards until I read that right. WOW! That is gigantic.
Thanks for dispelling that myth for this non-mom!
HOLY MAXI PAD!!! I’m sure you could see that thing bulging through a snowsuit. LOL!
Even though I check your blog religiously in anticipation for Bennett photos, I would much rather you continue to just enjoy your family than worry about satisfying our needs.
ah the mesh undies. so comfy…. Oh cherish them. i’m so glad you are feeling good Kel! Yay for Dr Baker!
mesh undies - do you actually wear them? this whole after-giving-birth stuff is the part that i am avoiding learning about… i’m hoping the joy of the new baby will overshadow all the ickiness of my body at that point.
See, and here I thought I was excited about meeting my new son, but those boy-cut underwear are really what I’m getting excited about!!
I really think I recoiled in horror for a split second when I saw the picture of the XXXXL maxi pad and undies - I had completely forgotten about those bad boys. Ohmy…so much to look forward to. Miss you hon!
Refresh, refresh, refresh…my fingers are getting tired. Hurry up and post! Now, I know you arent that busy..lol!
LOVED the stretchy undies AND the giant pads; did you ask about the hot towel treatment or stick with the olive oil? details, details…can’t wait to hear all about Bennett’s birth, but glad you are enjoying your time with TWO chittlins..I can’t believe you and Ryan have TWO kids. Wow!
So THAT’s where maxi pads come from! That has got to be the mother of ALL maxi pads!!!! You make pregnancy/birth look so appealing to the childless/late 20s/single girls! hahaha
Congrats on Bennett, he’s a cutie!!
Hi, how are you? I just came across your blog on delightful blogs {and it is delightful!} and thought I’d share mine with you: Petit Elefant. Congrats on the new baby. He’s beyootiful!
Be well,
Allison
