As of this morning, 4 cm, 70% effaced and he is finally nestled into my pelvis! YEAH!!! Good progress as I had 3 solid hours of contracting last night followed by a peppery night of contractions. Dr. Baker gave me the ole swipey swipey and stripped my membranes which has been causing me to contract on and off since 11:00 this morning. He says he would be pretty surprised if I didn’t go this weekend on my own. He happens to be on duty tomorrow so you never know. They can’t schedule me for an induction till early next week because they are literally booked up all weekend! So my only way to have Bennett this weekend is au naturale! Which is my preference anyways.
So that is it. I feel good about everything, it is good to see my body doing so much on it’s own. For those of you who have asked me and shame on you, you must not be reading every single word I write because I mentioned it in my previous post…my official due date is May 4th. Now you know and knowing is half the battle!
Yay! So excited for you! Keep us updated. I hope you all get to meet Bennett soon!

Yay, for progress!! Friday is coming. I remember when I went into labor with my second I labored at home all day wondering is this it? Is this it?? I finally decided to go on in later that evening and when they checked me I was at a 6!!! I was soooo happy!! Since with my first I went in and I was only a 3, such disapointment, esp since I felt like I had been in labor forever at that point ( had only just begun….)
Anyway, just wanted to share, sounds like you are on your way and Bennett is on his way out!
My sweet friend…who I don’t actually know but feel like I do…does that make me an Uma Thurman-like stalker!? At any rate…I woke up this morning with you heavy on my heart. Won’t be long now! It took me 38 hours of hard labour to get to 4 cm, so I stand in awe of you already with your wide, gaping cervix. Go, cervix, go!
My sweet boy, Jackson, was born on May 4th. A week past his due date! I know you want Bennett here before then but May 4th is a good one! We’ll be having a big boy (4 yr) Pirate Party that day!! Ahoy Matey and good luck! Can’t wait for the post with pics of the new little one!

4 cm is amazing - you’re almost halfway there!! I had yet another dream last night that I got the phone call that you had had him and I woke up all excited and then it hit me that it was a dream, but that’s okay b/c you are SO STINKING CLOSE!! Love you!
