Houston, we have liftoff! My cervix was sealed up like a drum last week and after yesterday’s check….50% effaced and 1-2 dilation. So we are progressing and effacement is the biggie, so I am thrilled that all these contractions are getting me somewhere. Of course we know there are only three imminent things that put you into the hospital, so I am just letting things roll and still hoping and praying for today to go into labor. Let’s see, three rounds of diarrhea, nausea and vomiting once today and it is only 1:00….so my body is definitely having fun with me and it better not be a dirty dirty tease.

Loading ... Loading ...A quick but very important shout out to my girl, Candace, for throwing me an intimate baby shower with my girlfriends last night. SOOOOO much fun and the food, oh the food. I wish I had my camera with me, it was sooooo good. Thank you so much Can, I felt so loved! I got some great things, but I have to do a special picture of the handmade items. My girlfriends are so talented, it kills me. Look at all the sweet things…notice that the bracelet and earrings are for me!
Okay, and now we will take a sentimental turn. Today my sister in law Brittany and I hung out with the Chloster on the porch for awhile basking in the 80 degree glorious day. Brittany took her out in the yard and was trying to show her how to blow dandilions, she didn’t quite get it as she licked more than actually blew any away. But it was such a cute, sweet time and it reminds me of the fact that my moments are rapidly closing in where it won’t just be me and Chlo any more. Although it is wonderful to have Bennett, my love and heart have been solely Chloe’s for 17 months. Bitter sweet. Enjoy some moment from our morning.

Well… I must admit I’ve been randomly checking the site all day in hopes that I’d get a hospital update (you did promise those so don’t let me down when it happens! lol) Love the pics of today, the last few days of having just one child seem bittersweet, but you will be so much more full of love and joy when Bennett joins your world. I honestly don’t know where the heck it comes from, but the love just seems to grow and grow. Once he’s here you’ll feel as if that is the way your family has always been. Okay, so I didn’t wanna vote in the (you’re a jerk if you vote here) but my guess is 22 inches and 9.3 lbs. I’m guessin’ you’ve got a pretty big (mainly tall b/c of Ryan) boy growing in there. And, what are tall babies with out chubby legs and cheeks?? I’m gonna continue praying for today to be the day!! Can’t wait for another blog update on the progress.

I’m guessing 19 inches and 7.10-7.16. No particular reason other than you might come earlier than your due. Chloe is an angel. She is so precious, I love seeing pictures of her even though we’ve never met. I know you’re anxious to see what Bennett will look like. I’m sending up some prayers for an early and easy delivery.

Sorry I couldn’t make it to the shower, I really wanted to be there. My mom (aka babysitter) was in town for a week, but had to leave Thursday morning. I have a gift for Bennett. Looking forward to meeting him soon!

It is a little bittersweet going from one to two, but there is just so much joy that comes with a baby!

Hooray for effacement - it’s always encouraging that your contractions are working. And I know someone who was 0% anything and her water broke the next day, so you just never know.

8lbs 1oz. 21 inches. Chloe is so adorable!! I remember crying the night before I went in to have Kendall because it would be my last with just Sydni. I knew it would be great having another child—but I could have never imagined how great! Can’t wait to see pictures of Mr. Bennet!
I love Chole’s proud little pony-tail - it makes her look a lot more toddlerish! My guess is that Bennett will come in at 8lbs8oz and 21.5 inches. Can’t wait to hear the story of his arrival and I pray for health, speed and safety for the both of you…

I hope this isn’t some false labor for you. My last baby shifted or kicked me right in the bladder at 39 weeks and I would have sworn to you that my water had broken! I went to the hospital and was sadly sent home
But he was my smallest baby and only weighed in at 8lbs6oz, so I forgave him for the embarrassment!
