Have you seen my brain?

Oh my goodness. If you heard a gigantic sucking sound the other night, that was my butt hole tightening. As I looked around every room of my house I went into a cardiac arrest at the disarray. You already know I have a hard time with clutter and dirt….but in our tiny little house there are boxes all over the place, my house is filthy, we have 2 weddings to finish editing and I can’t stand ignoring Chloe to try and “get things done”. I know we are in the home stretch….we move next Friday!!!!! Still, I feel like I break into tears every few hours and I am just over it!

So I can say with certainty I am definitely flying under the blogging radar for most of the rest of this month. I need to preserve my energy and editing time for the tasks at hand. This month we have had so many visitors, a lot of family drama, and Sunday night we went to the ER because my dad had a mini stroke! Can we just sing Mary J. Blige…”NO MORE DRAMA” together. My dad is okay now, but that was an extremely sobering 24 hours in our family. I am just so happy we were all together and they were visiting this weekend so we could support each other. So besides all that, life is peachy….can you smell the sarcasm…cuz I am laying it on thick. I look forward to January where I can just decorate and sew and get fat and pregnant and let the dust settle from November and Decembers life storms. Send donations and presents my way to cheer me up.

We are declaring January our “Guest Free Month”. As much as we love you…..come after January to visit us. WE need to feel “normal” for awhile! No wonder I am not gaining any baby weight, who has time to eat?

So I will leave you with some pictures taken over at my brothers house on Sunday. My mom desperately wanted a picture of the grandkids…FAT CHANCE! You try getting a one year old and two year old to sit still. My sister in law and I finally had to sit in on the shot to hold the kids. Not one was a winner…notaone! Oh well.

Ummmm….love her! Those eyes, those cheeks, those pouty lips. Just want to reach into the photo and swipe her bangs to the side.

Chloe being Chloe-look at those cheeks

Little Noah making a fabulous pout!

Gold star for you Chloe. Sharing is caring!

Isabel patiently showing the ignorant puzzle maker, Chloe, where the cow goes. Come on Chloe, get with the program.

My realty BEEOTCH! Gotta love when your brother is your Realtor. I get to tell him what to do and he has to do it. Granted I am paying for his Christmas with the commission check. But I like to lord it over him for now that he is my “B” for the time being.

Jamie- my bro

The only one who got blue eyes. Stinker.

I am pretty sure this is illegal in all 50 states, kissing cousins that is!

Noah and Chloe...kissing cousins

My dad and Chloe sporting top knots. This is a few hours before his little “episode”. I told Ryan today, “If my dad had died, this would be the last picture ever taken of him.” Although completely morbid statement, I had to laugh too. It actually is very sweet, he loves his grandkids and would do anything for them. Even play beauty salon.

Ponytail twins

Ah yes…cooperation is key. Look at this gem.

The worst shot of grandkids ever

Merry Christmas blogland! I will miss you the next few weeks. Pray for a smooth move, my sanity and that I un-anal myself daily. I don’t need further constipation.

That is so scary about your dad!! I’m glad to hear everything is ok now.—–Just breathe Kelly. It will all get done!!! I’ll be thinking and praying for you. (I seriously will–don’t you hate when people say that and you’re pretty sure they are saying it just to say it. You know what I’m saying?:) So all that being said—I really mean what I say—or in this case–write. And by the way—Chloe’s hair looks like it’s grown a lot and we were planning a trip to see y’all in January—but I guess we’ll have to re-schedule. Bummer!

Just thinking out loud hear, but since everything happens for a reason, I think the *Mini stroke* was to get you all to calm down. Forget having a perfect home, a perfect life and a stress free move (that one will NEVER happen, sorry, lol). Just be happy you have what and who you have and that you live where you do. I’m trying to find a way to fit a *how* into this also. Hmm. Just remember that you’re loved, life is short and you should keep in mind that dust can settle and crumbs can be there, but if you don’t got love, there’s no reason to be around. (pardon the poor grammar, lol…speaking of being anal….) Anyway, I’m off my soap box, I’m glad you and your family are healthy. Just get something to eat…and soon!!!! :)

    Merry Christmas hon..take care

a mini stroke? That’s so scary! SOOOO glad he’s okay and you could all be together for support. ENJOY the holidays with your fam and remember that you’re not moving far, you can just start throwing things in the subaru and driving it back and forth if need be! That car holds a butt load of stuff, trust me! You know Alex would be there in his Side to Side (which I’ve started wearing to sleep in…that cotton is sooo stinkin soft!) glory to help you guys move if we were around…sniff…”that’s what friends are for”. This comment is getting way to long. Take it easy, lady. It will all get done somehow, hopefully by Dawn! :)

I hope things get better for you soon! Mini stroke - what an understatement it is to call them that! So scary for family. We’ve been there too. Get some rest - sounds like the whole family needs it.

Oh Kelly, I love you and your honesty.

Your life does sound crazy right now. BUT PRAISE GOD your father is doing better. That sounded so scary! How adorable of him and Chloe.

And I love Noah’s face in that last picture.

Praying for a smooth move. I can’t believe it is Christmas, your 5 months pregnant and YOUR MOVING!!!! That is madness.

PS-we do have a little something for Ben. Send me your new address when you get a chance.

  13. 13 Natalie Dec 19th, 2007 at 8:37 pm

Ok, I thought y’all were all pat’s fans up there. Is it just me, or is your brother sporting Saint’s Gear? Sad! So Sad. Not that it really matters to me. Anyway - I hope you make it through the move of your life with NO MORE DRAMA! Good Luck with everything. Can’t wait to see pictures of the new place.

Good luck with all you have going on!

  15. 15 K Dec 19th, 2007 at 11:56 pm

Wow. That’s very scary about your dad - hope he’s feeling better! My friend is also pregnant with her second and is living on Fiber One Bars (in the granola bar/breakfast bar area at the store). They have like 9 grams of fiber or something - and we all know that’s what matters! ;)

  16. 16 Rachel Dec 20th, 2007 at 5:27 am

3- that anal pucker comment almost made me spit my water out. that MAY, in fact, be the funniest thing i’ve EVER read. and i know EXACTLY what you mean. ask my roommate. i am THE SAME WAY.
4- is jamie wearing a sports jersey? what the……
5- little noah’s face in that last picture is PRICELESS. so cute!
6- God bless you. you are my HERO for even attempting this. lemme know if there’s anything i can do…..from afar.

    HUGS. KISSES. that sorta stuff….
