Well if that little magic stick didn’t tell me I was pregnant last week, my body certainly has. Days and days of nausea (only thrown up once), headaches, insane fatigue, bloating, all the good stuff. So let there be no doubt, I am pregnant! The dust is settling and I am feeling more and more like I am grasping the fact that a baby is on the way. It is so abstract the 1st trimester as you can’t “see” anything. I have fallen in love with some different bedding sets at Ikea…..me love some Ikea. If we have another girl, then Chloe’s beautiful bed set, my mother in law made, will be used for her and Chloe will move into the spare bedroom, much bigger than her little nursery, and we will decorate with more of a big girl look. If we have a little boy then we are going to redecorate the nursery for him and put Chloe’s current set in the spare room. I know, I know….tell me more about this interesting logistical news Kelly, as if your Monday morning wasn’t stimulating enough.
Moving right along….BOOB TUBE TALK!!!!! BOOBS, BOOBS, BOOBS….you can only imagine the spam comments you get when you type a word like Boobs. Can we all count down together….FOUR DAYS until The Office premiere. Oh man oh man….Don’t call me on Thursday night, I don’t care if you are dying, what can I do for you anyway, just wait until my show is over. You know it is true, nothing is more anguishing then to receive a call from someone you love or someone you don’t talk to that often and they are calling during your favorite show. It is a tough choice and don’t act like you haven’t chosen the TV on many occasions. So sad but true!
So let’s take a looksee at what I will be checking out this week. I really try to not to open my heart up too many shows because I am so so so easily swept in. I will try a few new shows this year but will remain faithful to my current loves as well. Sorry to disappoint, I have never seen Heroes or Lost…don’t throw stones!
I don’t have cable, so I am only talking about ABC, NBC, CBS, CW…that is all I get. I realize you will be judging me on my choices…BRING IT!

Obviously, Tuesdays and Thursdays have major conflicts. I don’t have Tivo so I have to do it the old fashioned way, a VCR and tape…I know, I also heat our house with two flint rocks. Hey, it works!
So what are you dying to watch this season or convince me to give your show a try…I am open. I like to laugh, I like a good drama, I try to keep raunch to a minimum….although it seems unavoidable. I do like reality when it is helping people, Biggest Loser, Extreme Home make over…The Bachelor? Well it helps one person….no not really….it is just a shameless default show when nothing is on.
Lastly, just when I thought Chloe couldn’t possibly get cuter in my eyes, she does! You know my obsession with hair…LOVE IT!!! I have been waiting not so patiently for her hair to get longer so I had some more options and guess what…my dream came true.
Pigtails…..YEAH! Finally, two sprouts, albeit, teeny tiny ones. I have gotten much better at these since these pictures were taken. It is hard to know the right percentage of bangs to keep down and swoosh verses the percent of hair to put into the piggies. It is just mind blowing math!
Last week finally cooled down too so we could dabble in our fall wardrobe. I got tons of stuff on sale for next to nothing last year from Old Navy and The Children’s Place. It pays to shop a year in advance!

Shows - Well, I blogged last week about How I Met Your Mother - i usually hate CBS shows, all of them, but this one wins in my book. I think you’d like it. your sense of humor would appreciate it.

Men in Trees is also my secret odd show. I don’t know how to convince you though, because it’s no Gilmore Girls, or O.C. I mean it’s corny. It has Anne Heche - which, YUCK. But I like her in this, I LOVE the supporting cast, it’s set in Alaska so it’s a totally unique backdrop from any other show out there - I just enjoy it. good drama, good comedy, easy fun show to get into. though I think they’re moving it to Fridays so there goes that. I usually don’t watch on Fridays either, but hello Tivo! or VCR tape, whatever.
OH! You HAVE to watch Brothers and Sisters on Sunday nights (after DH). It’s one of my very fave shows!
Michael, “Pam’s advice was good, but Jan’s was bigger” Alex and I wittely recite that to each other pretty much all the time after seeing the season finale last thursday. I can’t believe we didn’t find our long lost favorite tv show EVER until this summer…we’ve had the best time watching “new to us” reruns. Always remember that painting your room black will make your subordinates fear you!
2nd the nod to Brother’s and Sister’s…kind of a throw back to Party of Five dramaishness…good stuff.
Well, considering all my fav shows are on Thurs nights, I’m probably not going to be able to convince you to watch my shows…but Smallville is the BEST! Come on, who doesn’t love Clark Kent?
And picking up clothes a year in advance is great. I’m getting Peyton summer clothes for next year now. I got a ton of stuff at Target over the weekend - cute t’s and shorts for under a buck each!
Oh, and I can’t believe how cheap that crib set is at ikea! Wow! It is very cute. that is a great price!!!

Sorry to hear you are feeling so horrible! First trimester is the worse in my opinion. You feel horrible and almost no-one knows you are pregnant….it’s not visible and you hardly believe it. Yeah..first trimester was the worst for me

Okay, you have to watch Heroes. It really is a great show. I love Grey’s. However, I am concerned on how much I will like this next season. I loved Burke and Christina together. They were my fav. And if McDreamy hooks up with the new intern who is Merrideth’s half sister(if that doesn’t sound like a Soap then I don’t know what does)-Grey’s might be over for me. I love McDreamy and Merrideth together. And I am so sad about Addison leaving. I hate when people mess with something that is good. I just hope all the changes doesn’t end up hurting the show. I am exctied though to watch Private Practice. Who knows maybe I will love it more than Grey’s???
And I love Extreme Makeover and Top Model.

on another note: The Office is written in BLOOD on my calendar! i have a consultation that night and i’m already FREAKING over it running long and cutting into my TV time that night. and i do NOT have tivo!! i’ll be willing to lose the contract completely, if i have to kick her out!!!

we only watch Heroes on Monday nights & the NBC line up on Thursdays. what else is there, really? Pat HATES reality tv, so i only get away with that when he’s not around & then i just watch whatever happens to be on. i’ve been known to stay on the tv guide channel when there’s nothing else on and watch people transform into celebrities on “Look-a-like”. sad, i know. usually we just rent a movie or have a bonfire or go to bed at 8:30.
I too love the shot of Chloe that Ryan took! I love that she is kissed a million times a day. My kids are too! You must patiently read through my latest blog..has to do with dads who do and dads who don’t kiss their little girls. I’m getting excited about the NC leaves and seeing YOU! Emory and I played our first duet on the piano today…oh hooray, it was a bliss filled moment for both of us!
this week I’m so excited about all the premiers I think I pee a little everytime I think about it!

We are die HARD Office fans and have been since the very first day it aired.
The Target dollar bin was filled with a ton of “The Office” stuff and I couldn’t resist. I bought mugs that said, “World’s Best Boss” and “The Bosses go to man” for Seth’s and his boss. Then I bought some pencils with Office quotes on them. I could have bought a ton of other things since I got caught in the moment, but then realized I HATE clutter and soon that is what it would have become.
And I love me some House too!
i love tv. i love most of those shows. but, why oh why do i never have time to sit and watch them!? something needs to change in my life. the office is a good thing. sigh…..
Did you watch The Bachelor? I didn’t even know it was on. I stumbled upon it and I liked it. I like Brad. And now I need to know who he picks, so I will be hooked on that monday nights.
