Well not so much a bash as it was a 12 girls talking loudy and laughing even louder. Thursday I got 12 of my dear sweet local gals and we went out sans husbands and children to my favorite dig, Isabellas. (Dikola, Stacey, Holli, Heather, Chrissy and Meridyth…you were there in spirit…wish you weren’t so far away…sigh)
I had the best time, I get a little socially ADD when I am sitting in the middle of the table. You end up catch 1/3 of every conversation around the table as you turn your head left and right. Either way, I am blessed to have some amazing girlfriends. Let me take you through the evening through interpretive dance, song, and lyric. Yeah right…it is picture time! I need my own jingle that starts when you look at my gazillion pictures. “Picture time, picture time, I am a voyer in Kelly’s life because it is so divine, picture time, picture time, you better put pictures up of Chloe or I will mind.” Whoa…let me stop while I am ahead.
Her is the crew minus the three who skipped out early. Ain’t they purdy?

Erin, Candace and Steph. Many of you are readers of theirs.

Gaylyn and I who happen to share the same b-day…guess who is older? I told the girls in their invite that I wanted to see cleavage represented. Gaylyn never lets me down.
She also threw in these sassy numbers for me. Love you Gaylyn…my b-day buddy for life.
Lastly, on our trip around the table. My wonderfully talented and insanely athletic friend Susanna.

Okay those are the peeps…now bring on the eats. I told everyone this was wine and dessert party, but apparently I am the only one who listened because everyone ordered food. I wolfed down a quiche before I came so I had to watch everyone eat the most amazing food around me. Next year will be different!
BARTENDER!!!!!! Bring me something good. This is our waiter Lance. For the insanely infrequent times I go to this restaurant over the years, I always seem to get Lance. He handled the estrogen like a pro. Here he is schooling Kristie on the art of wine. We are a pretty ignorant group, we need our hands held when it comes to picking the sweet nectar of the vine.
Stephanie ordered what I called, “Summer in your mouth” drink. Some deliciously fruity drink made from pomegranates. If I could have bathed in this, I would.
A view to my right was a plate full of my favorite dish, Chicken Parmasean. It sounds so simple, but they make it with smoked mozzarella and the flavor is DEEEEEE LISH!!!!! I should have asked Steph if I could lick her fork so I could have gotten a taste. YUM!
Here was my little gem. Latte cheesecake. So wonderful. This is Ryan’s favorite dessert. I was a very good and disciplined wife and brought him back the last few bites. It took a lot of will power not to eat it myself!
So Cheers to 31…cheers to great friends, amazing food, and laughing till your jaw aches. For more b-day pics go here.
I just want to say one more thing. I got a ton of great gifts for my birthday, but two of them were hand made and therefore need a special shout out. One, my dear friend Candace made for me. An amazing crochet clutch purse. I love it!!! She is so talented.
The second was not intended to be a b-day gift, but it did come on my b-day from my tea towel swap partner, Renee at Vintage Recreations. As you can see, it fits in swimmingly with my kitchen. I love the glamor mermaid…Renee it is awesome! Thank you.
Whew….too many copy and pasting of links. You better reward my fingers with some comments. Yes, that was a shameless attempt to get comment love, I ain’t afraid to beg. Bring it! I am going to boycott posting and pictures unless I get 31 comments…….and the world holds it’s breath…….will she or won’t she?

What a bunch of good lookin ladies:) Glad you had such a fantastic birthday bash!! Sounds fun.
Fun, fun, fun!!!! Ya’ll are a lucky group to have such awesome friends. And my compliments to the bartender for handling the estrogen and not drowning or coming out waving a can of Bud in surrender!

numero uno- isabella’s is pretty good! that’s a major compliment coming from italian food snob central. i liked it when i went, all of once!
numero due- is that JENN MILLER???????? (ehm if she’s married, i don’t know her new last name!)
numero tre- i, too, wish i were there. but, it seems it was probably loud enough, without me!
numero quattro- i am numbering in italiano to celebrate your birthday at such a fine italian establishment…..and because i love italian.

Obligatory comment…
(PS. I’m with Joe, cleavage works for me)
I’m sorry to double comment, but I need more pictures of Chloe. Plus, I just got a comment from a Ryan in VA. Is that your man? I’m so flattered that he read my blog, if so. I mean, it’s cool that I get comments from you sometimes, but the hubby - wow (gushing). Again, merriest of belated birthday wishes…
THIRTY ONE
YAY
Oh.. PS - I love those heels too!
Happy Birthday Kelly!! Looks like you guys had a great night on the town- the best way to celebrate. And the fact that you chose cheesecake for your bday dessert shows that you are indeed a very wise woman. Hope this year is even better than the last!
Happy belated Birthday! How wonderful that you got to get together with so many wonderful girlfriends. I certainly miss my posse of ladies back East, especially when birthday season rolls around. You’re so lucky to have so many great friends to celebrate with–both in body and in spirit.
Hope this year is a great one!
We didn’t give our names, but my chilren and I were the mystery Von Trapp family singing “Happy Birthday” on your cell phone. They actually harmonized a tad. Your birthday at Isabelle’s looked wonderful…I want to visit! Hope you had a sweet 31st! Love you!
