That is my blogging yawn. My posts have been less than interesting the last week or so….I am just not feeling it…you know…feeling funny, witty, inspired, ready to wow you. I refuse to start prattling down my days to-do list, no offense, those who use their blog for that, unless I really know you well…that is about the last thing I feel like reading. I feel like I need to come to the table with something amusing. I have been a total slack when it comes to reading others blogs. I pull up my bloglines, feel a great sense of being overwhelmed and quickly click out of it. I know the golden blogging rule, you scratch my back and I scratch yours with comments…but man…it is just a burden sometimes. Does that sound incredibly rude? I haven’t even taken pictures of Chloe lately…I know, I know, don’t call psyche ward yet…I am not losing it here…..just, I don’t know…not feeling it.
Well let’s see what I can come up with (blows dust off fingers, cracks knuckles).
I did have the pleasure and not pleasure of going bridesmaid gown shopping last night with my old roommate, Kristie, who finally got engaged….YEAH…about stinking time, and my friend Sarah, who is also in the wedding. While I still desperately cling to those 9 extra baby pounds, plus my 8 extra wedding pounds I put on before getting pregnant…lets just say, I am less than enthused about dropping some chump change on a bridesmaids gown that will sit in my closet until I sell it, give it away or Chloe is old enough to play dress up with it! You usually try on the size you hope you fit in…no dice, then go one size up to what you think you are…still no dice…then you finally admit the mirrors aren’t bowed, you really do look like that and get the size that makes you want to cry. I liken this experience to trying on bathing suits while you are pale and out of shape, except with gowns you drop 3 to 5 times as much money than you would on a bathing suit. Yes you cover up more flesh, but back rolls, flabby arms, and ample bosom aren’t exactly on the menu of hotness either. So with my best happy face I could muster, I zipped and squeezed my way into a few gowns until she found one she liked for us.
It is exciting to watch your close friends get married and to be apart of it and I have to remind myself that nobody really cares what I look like, they care about the bride. My husband will think I look great no matter what, he is just that cool. This is the three musketeers! We have about 20 of this exact shot over the last 8 years of friendship.

Sweet bang split Kelly….can we say dirty hair!
I did finish another little decorating project around the house. I have been keeping an eye out for frames to go on sale and wouldn’t you know it, Target pulled through for me again. They had an end-cap full of white frames with mats already in them. I have been meaning to frame some material and using them as wall decorations. Here is the finished product in my living room.
and this is above the bed in the guest bedroom. We still haven’t painted the walls in this room, so you have to imagine the walls being a mushroom/taupe color….got that in your head…good…now look at the pictures.
Cheap and easy way to decorate a wall and put some splashes of color around the room.
We interrupt this interesting blog to make sure Charlotte is comfortable.
Yeah, make yourself at home Charlotte. You might want to be more of a lady than that. Men like a little mystery.
Alright, it is time to bring on some Chloe pics. Here are some of my favorite 6 months shots. The rest are on my flickr.
Over kill? Nah…one more for the road.

congratulations, kristie! that’s awesome news! i think that dress is a gorgeous color and it looks cute on you! the three of you should be in a toothpaste commercial with your perfect teeth and whiteness! and oh my word, chloe! I want to squeeze her little chubs!
I love that gown! What a great picture of the three of you. All my friends are old and married now.
I like the idea of framing material a lot. I’m going to start working from home more and I have some ideas for sprucing up the house…I may have to do something like that!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE Chloe’s chubbness, it is SO cute! Great pictures as always!
Those legs of Chloe look like the ladies legs I just saw in aisle 6 at krogah’s
I think you look faboo just as you are. My post-partum weight loss plateaued for five agonizing months and has just now started to s-l-o-w-l-y disappear…and my baby is 9 months old. I love the dress and think the colour is divine on you.
Don’t stress the weight too much. I have heard so many times that it takes 9-12 months to lose the weight. I am also about 10 lbs from being my pre-pregnancy weight - and I’m trying very hard (most days) to eat good and exercise, but it is hard. Hang in there, you will lose it.
how could you think you’re uninspired, and then you give us this post? come onnnnn…
I have to say that I am not super fond of being a bridesmaid. I enjoy weddings so much more when I don’t have to be in them. Actually, I took a lot of pictures at a friend’s wedding last summer, and another friend fell in love with them and asked me to be her candid photographer at her wedding! So I’m gonna give you guys a run for your money in the wedding photo business
(ok, not really, but whatever!)
Em
first of all….
not in my wildest imagination am i HALF as witty as you.
secondly….
blogging is fun. but it’s not a necessity. go easier on yourself. those of us who know and love you can pick up that thing called a phone and find out what’s going on in your life, THAT way. i know. revolutionary idea, eh?
thirdly….
that is not the guest room. i am claiming it as mine. and, i approve of said new artwork.
lastly….
your daughter. i just can’t. i cannot wait to come down there and take a giant bite out of those legs!!!!!
CUTE photos (like there is even a possibility that they won’t be!)
I was bridesmaid at my friends wedding. We did our first measurements right after my husband and I got separated and I had lost A LOT of weight. Then we got back together about 6 weeks before the final fittings and I did NOT fit into that dress. Not by a long shot! Now THAT is embarrassing lol
Love the dress, it’s a great color on you
The artwork is fab, and Chloe is cute as always!
i forgot to mention our sexual integrity program at work. i’d like to enroll charlotte if that’s ok with you….
can’t wait to rock that guest bed this week - sorry, Chrissy, but my hubby and I are stealing your room.
And, those dimples!(on chloe’s face, oh, and legs, oh, and arms) - can’t wait to squeeze that cute little munchkin!
That dress does do you justice
It’s got to have been hard finding dresses to suit different body shapes…
I’m a little shocked - I think Chloe may have more cleavage than I do already :0
Kelly, I don’t know where you’re carrying any extra weight because you look fabulous! And can I say…Great idea for artwork! I’m always looking for new things to hang in the house, but what I like is usually too much for the budget right now…Now for Chloe, She is so sweet! I could squeeze her all over. And I think that if she’s really wanting something, all she would have to do is smile with those dimples and she would get it!
mmmm, i’ll scratch your back–and you don’t even have to scratch mine.
just wanted to let you know that i loved your framed fabric–especially the white and marigold-ish ones.
I totally fel ya. I cant even pull up my blog I feel so bad. I cant think of anything at all inspiring to write about so I just dont. I am the same on pics too every since I got sick I have taken a couple sets and video has been way neglected and I am going to cry my eyes out years from now for not getting more. Ok I am now charging the video cam…you …have ….inspired…me!!!! Thank you!
That child has some cankles girl…what are you feeding her?? LOL. Pure booby milk huh? She is sooooooooo cute I cant stand it!!!
WHATEVER…you look hotty hotterson in that dress…that waist is still teeny! The art above the guest bed looks great, love those white frames!
