And his name is Ryan. So my younger, stud of a husband has gotten closer to the big 3-0 as we celebrate his 28th birthday today.
This is one of my favorite pics from our honeymoon. It inspires me to bust into some Debbie Gibson, “I get lost, in your eyes….” Anyway, I won’t go there.
Instead I will write down some of my favorite things about my best buddy.
1-There isn’t a radio station I turn on that we can’t sit and sing goofy harmonies to, I love our sing-a-longs.
2-He always has the BEST attitude about helping me around the house, even mundane tasks.
3-He calls me “babe” and I love that, even when I am skanky in the mornings.
4-He listens to all my stories that I tell him and boy can I talk with a lot of detail. Thanks for being a patient listener Ry!
5-He has a great sense of style, I never wonder when we leave the house if I am going to have to re-dress him. Now some outfits get a tight rotation (camo shorts, royal blue t-shirt with his Rainbow flops—that’s for you Candace!)
6-He is ubber smart and talented with the computer and in photography….I have a designer crush on him.
7-He has killer legs! Hopefully, Chloe will get a shorter version of his shapely legs and not my stumps.
8-He is incredibly steadfast in his personality, temperament and view of God. He keeps me leveled out as I tend to be more emotional (shocker, I know!)
9-The look he gets when he talks about being a father and how he feels about Chloe about melts my heart. I can’t wait to see him as a daddy
10-Nobody in this world makes me laugh harder or more often than Ryan. He is the ying to my yang of humor. We can laugh at drying paint. My world stays in constant color when he is with me.
I love you honey! Thanks for being the best friend, husband and help-mate anyone could ask for! You are going to be the most amazing father and I thank God for blessing me as richly and deeply as he has with the love you give me. You are my greatest treasure.
Now I know everyone feels awkward commenting on these kinds of posts, especially if you don’t know Ryan and I in person. Don’t sweat it….this is all for him and me. (and maybe Alex, who feels just as strongly about Ryan 
)

And you know I do love the blue shirt and camo shorts - I love predictability, I find comfort in it. So when I see you in that outfit, I think, ” *sigh* there’s the Ryan I know and appreciate!”
I like commenting on those steamy posts… Ryan, thank you for taking such great care of your Kelly. Even though I only blog-know you guys… I think you’re pretty great! Happy Birthday!!
I don’t know you in person, but any guy who can make his wife feel that way must be pretty amazing. I hope Ryan had a great birthday and you had fun celebrating together!
Thanks a lot for broadcasting how I feel about Ryan to the world…it was supposed to be kept between the four of us. Anyways, great to see Ryan is treating you well, and that you could list off so many nice things about him. I could not agree more with number 7…great legs. And I also have had some good times with just the radio and ryan. I believe it was Johnny Cash in Gd Rapids…It aint me youre look-in for Babe.
